Great work and performs really good!

I was wondering if it is possible to track multiple targets?

idab
16 Apr, 2015 - 20:32

@korriander: yes! You have to replicate sensors inside the tracking configuration file (.xml).

Metaio seemingly was bought by one of the better known Californian computer companies... http://www.giga.de/unternehmen/apple/news/apple-uebernimmt-deutsches-augmented-reality-unternehmen-metaio/ (sorry, german ... but you may recognize the name of the company)

hey, unfortunately metaio SDK cannot use for any commercial project no more. because they stopped sdk download & selling licenses.

metaio plugin itself works no problem if you installed sdk.

so i'd like to keep this page and support personally until receive warning from apple;) please send message to me if you want to get sdk installer. (or get from Steryl's link?)

also try to find other AR SDK...

Hi all! The question of tracking multiple targets. How to copy the sensor inside the configuration file (XML)? Like this? But there is no success! @idab multiple

idab
01 Dec, 2015 - 11:28

@Evan: look at this configuration file: https://my.metaio.com/dev/fileadmin/user_upload/images/sdk/tracking_configuration/trackingdata_markerlessfast.xml

You have to duplicate "SensorCOS" and "COS" for every target inside one configuration file.

Hi vvvvorum and mino!

I did everything as written in Installation, but nothing works. First node red, then become gray, but they do not have pins. I use win10 64-bit! What can be wrong? mataio, ar

mino
16 Dec, 2015 - 12:10

@isdzaurov is vvvv 32bit/64bit? metaio plugin works only in vvvv 32bit. also if you have dlls in same dir of help patch, please delete them and try again.

Hey,

first of al thank you mino for your contribution. It works great! I have been using metaio for about a month now and trying out a few things for my school project.

Two days ago i ran into a problem, that the metaio.help wont show my webcam in vvvv. InstantTracking.help still works, but all the patches that have the Metaio Node dont show my webcam image and instead a black screen. The strange thing is that it worked a couple of days ago.

I tried so many things. (1) Deleted all the changes i made to the patch since the problem (2) reinstalled the metaio SDK (3) reinstalled vvvv (4) tried on a different computer. Nothing has helped and i badly need it to work for my final project.

Did anyone experience something similar? Would appreciate if anyone could help me out here!

VRdude

That was a great advice to open with tty renderer! Thank you so much. The problem was a corrupt xml tracking file.

hi, check Metaio SDK 6.0.2/tutorialContent_crossplatform/TutorialTrackingSamples/Assets.

vasilis
04 Oct, 2016 - 14:31

Any ideas on why if i put more than two pictures on the xml file it doesn't pick them up?

the code is the same..copy - paste..

edit...

OK...It's picking up more than 2 pictures...the problem before seems to be that the third picture that I was trying to track was just a green rectangle..It seems that it doesn't pick up just a plain color...Bright and colorfull pictures are easier to track.

This should be metaio alternative. https://www.easyar.com

it not support texture input yet, but they said support soon.
