Just check out this, guess there must be more possibly.

https://github.com/brunchboy/beat-link

I a'm not a programmer but they almost figure out the way Armin, Ferry Corsten, Fedde le Grand and more Big DJ's use the CDJ's with show control. made by Event Imagineering Group LLC.

Hope you guys can do something with it.

@MartijnW - This is great stuff you have pointed to. When i will have access to set of CDJs again i will look into implementing these extra features mentioned in the link.

If there is someone with blood boiling to look into these features and upgrade my patch here is the gem for protocol decoded by James Elliott https://github.com/brunchboy/dysentery/tree/master/doc

I just added a small fix for new vvvv vercion for some reason SetSlice Raw report an error at a nill value

It would be awesome to find track name/time

So I haven't had a Pioneer device in my hands for some time now, but as far as it was in the early days:

Track info is easy if you play your tracks from recordbox over lan. (worked back in the days).

Someone on github managed to get all the info out by simulating a cdj player, but i cannot find the project right now.

@bildwerk ohh,,, that the trick... I just spend several hours looking at wireshark looking for nothing It seems that the CDJ need some kind of querry to get the track title Next time I have access to 2 of them I will give it a try I found the CDJ name in one packet, at 50000 port, not 50001 , also the mixer does the same but not other message was sent from the mixer no matter that I move

do you have a djm and a cdj to test?

djm should send packets with the length 82 where you can see on bytes 78-81 if the volume fader is > 0. but your network card needs to be in promiscuous mode to get all the packets.

have a look at the nodes i did years ago - could you test them? https://files.bildwerk.tv/PioneerDemo.zip

Also we should continue this at another place - i would suggest riot (user bildwerk) or skype (in profile).
