The Swiss railway clock was designed in 1944 by Hans Hilfiker, a Swiss engineer, together with Mobatime, a clock manufacturer, for use by the Swiss Federal Railways as a station clock.

very charming indeed. Just a detail, which to me makes this clock THE SwissRailwayClock, you forgot the 1.5 second stop after the red hand reached the 12.. ;)

Absolutely beautiful.... @aivenhoe is right; in the original clock there is a slight delay when the red handle reaches 12...
